What is your style?
If I had to describe my style in just three words, it would be simple + fun + genuine. But let me explain it a little more. I like my photography to be honest and all about you. I like to start my sessions off by posing my clients for the first few photos. After taking some posed photos, I usually stand back and let you “do your thing!” In other words, I like to stand back and observe you or your family just being yourselves. Since my photography is all about you, it is in those simple natural moments that I capture the most honest and beautiful photos. I love candid photography and you will see it often in my work. I often refrain from the use of a lot of props or busy backgrounds because the focus of the session is you/your family. Not the scenery at the location or the piece of furniture you’re sitting on. When and how will I receive my photos?
Within 7-10 days of your session, you will receive an email with a link to your private gallery containing your final edited high resolution photos. You will be granted immediate access to these images so you can download directly to your computer or share the link with friends + family.
Can I print my photos anywhere?
You sure can! Your photos are actually YOUR photos. This means the photos are yours to print as you please. However, your gallery is seamlessly connected to one of the best photo printers in the industry (added BONUS) so while there is no obligation to place an order through your gallery, you have the ease of one-stop-shopping! SWEET!
Why am I required to pay the entire session fee upfront?
All of my photography packages require clients to pay their session fee upon booking as a deposit. The payment reserves your session date + time and takes the hassle out of collecting payment at the end of the session. I understand things come up, and that is why your session fee IS always transferable as long as 24 hours notice is given. If you don’t show up for your appointment or you are more than 15 minutes late, your session fee will not be refunded.
Because mother nature can be unpredictable and most of my photo sessions are outside, I may need to postpone or reschedule your session to make sure you receive the most ideal conditions for your session. If weather issues arise, I will contact you as soon as possible and work out a new plan. Don’t worry, your session fee will transfer. Please let me know of any schedule changes or issues as soon as possible and I will try to be flexible and accommodate your needs.
Do you only shoot outside? Do you have a studio?
Yes, I shoot primarily outdoors with the exception of my in-home newborn sessions and in-home lifestyle sessions. I do not have a studio and do not offer studio (i.e. staged backdrops, not even for newborn) photography. I want this session to tell YOUR story and be about you + your family. I have found that being outside allows everyone to be feel, be and act more natural + comfortable which as you’ve already read, create the most honest + beautiful images. We can discuss an outdoor location just right for your session based on your preferences either from perusing my website or from the selections made on your client questionnaire. I have locations all over the Valley that have served as wonderful backdrops to beautiful photos!
